Meet Hajek Olaf.
His work is the kind that sets my heart a-flutter.
This extraordinary illustrator is one of the most renowned in Germany, having developed his uniquely personal style through countless works.
Hajek fills his cardboard canvases with the kind of magical realism that would make Klimt quake. His pieces blur the boundary between South American folklore, mythology, religion, history and geography.
Within the fairytale pallette of his work, is the presence of a gritty western culture meeting with something that feels ancient, authentic and soulful.
And he's really cute.
He currently works and lives in Berlin.
