I'm sitting in the equivalent of a small studio apartment. It's totally quiet and still. There's something about being sequestered away in a little hotel, with the sole purpose of resting and doing a show in the evening that is soothing.
"The Shipment" opened at Memorial Hall last night, and tonight, we close. It's such a fascinating show to do in the States vs. Europe. Racial tension and identity politics exist in both places, but America is the shows original context and it was interesting to hear that dialogue with the audience during the performance.
Back to New York tomorrow.
But I couldn't be more content with staying in this lush little room for a while longer.
